Digital Denture Clinical Records Required

Use this guide to confirm the denture clinical records AvaDent needs before you submit a digital denture case. Complete digital denture records help the design team verify VDO, bite relationship, impressions or scans, reference records, and single-arch opposing dentition so your case can move through the AvaDent workflow without preventable delays. Review the checklist below, upload scan files through the AvaDent Dashboard, or contact AvaDent if you are unsure which records are required.

Record Submission Checklist

Digital denture records should clearly document the records AvaDent needs to design, verify, and manufacture the selected case type. Clinicians should confirm the record set for complete dentures, try-ins, overdentures, hybrids, or immediate dentures before submitting through the AvaDent Dashboard, and review AvaDent's clinical workflows and protocols if they need the step-by-step sequence for a specific case.

  • VDO and bite relationship: confirm the vertical dimension and provide a bite or interocclusal record for the selected workflow.
  • Impressions or digital scans: include intraoral scans, desktop scans, impressions, or models according to the case type and workflow.
  • Reference records when available: provide the existing denture, reference denture scans, AvaMeter records, or try-in records when applicable.
  • Opposing dentition for single-arch cases: include the opposing arch so the design team can verify occlusion.
  • Submission path: upload scan files through the AvaDent Dashboard or follow the listed physical-record shipping protocol.
