Initial Appointment

Scan the upper and lower edentulous arches.
Complete the prescription and upload the scans to AvaDent for base plate with wax bite rim.

INTRAORAL SCAN

Intraoral Scan

Wax Rim Appointment

Verify fit. Adjust and/or take a wash impression as needed
Make border molded impressions in each wax rim to capture vestibule anatomy
Seat wax rims to verify the vertical dimension and occlusal.
Verify/Modify occlusal plane
Mark the midline, smile line, and canines.
Make bite registration
Scan each wax rim 360 degrees
Scan wax rims together in bite
Upload the files to AvaDent for design and fabrication of a try-in.

Try-In Appointment

Verify fit; adjust and/or take a wash impression if needed.
Seat try-in and confirm midline, incisal edge, VDO, lip support, esthetics, and bite.
If all records are correct, submit to AvaDent for final denture.
If changes are needed, repeat Wax Rim steps and upload files for redesign.

Delivery Appointment

Verify fit and function.
Adjust periphery or occlusion if needed.
Deliver denture and provide care instructions.
