Initial Appointment

Make final impressions
Complete the RX order form and ship the impression to AvaDent for a base plate with a wax bite rim.
If a scanner is available at the clinic, scan impressions, complete the Rx order form, and send scan data to AvaDent to fabricate wax rim.

ANALOG IMPRESSION

Wax Rim Appointment

Verify fit. Adjust and/or take wash impression as needed
Seat wax rims to verify the vertical dimension and occlusal.
Verify/Modify occlusal plane
Mark the midline, smile line, and canines.
Make bite registration
Scan each wax rim 360 degrees
Scan wax rims together in bite
Upload the files to AvaDent for design and fabrication of a try-in.

Try-In Appointment

Verify fit; adjust and/or take a wash impression if needed.
Seat try-in and confirm midline, incisal edge, VDO, lip support, esthetics, and bite.
If all records are correct, submit to AvaDent for final denture.
If changes are needed, repeat Wax Rim steps and upload files for redesign.

Final Fit

Seat final denture fabricated by lab.
Perform fit adjustments and patient education.
Schedule follow-up for sore spot relief if needed.
