Using streamlined impression and record-taking techniques, Clinicians follow standard clinical procedures to gather the information necessary to create a patient’s computer-precision fit AvaDent denture in just one easy appointment.
AvaDent can accommodate several options for collecting the records, such as AvaDent’ s proprietary Anatomical Measurement Device, or AMD, which along with the use of thermoplastic trays, provides a highly technical yet easy to perform approach to capturing measurements. Clinicians can also provide a stone model or a duplicate denture using our Reference Denture Technique.
More and more, Clinicians are finding they are getting the records they need through AvaDent’s recently released “easy on-ramp” approach, which utilizes the Good Fit system. Good Fit, for use with dentures, implant dentures, and immediate dentures, provides an all-in-one tray for impression-taking and measurements. This thermoplastic tray includes teeth, which assist in assessing bite and other key measurements, as well as esthetics.
The records are then scanned by an AvaDent-approved scanner to create a digital file. Using this file, along with the Clinician’s prescription, a virtual digital denture is produced by AvaDent’s expert technicians, designed to Clinician specifications. Once designed, AvaDent gives the Clinician the opportunity to review the digital design using the AvaDent Viewer, and request changes prior to approving.
The software-driven precision produces an exact representation based on the records that are provided. This digital review is one more level of assurance that the AvaDent will be a perfect fit for the patient, avoiding poor outcomes such as:
Once the virtual design is approved, the digital file is sent to the automated milling station where the AvaDent is milled from GDS’s unique, highly compressed, bio-hygienic base material, creating the exact fit, function and esthetics prescribed by the clinician.
With the precision fit assured, the Clinician will also benefit from the unique and all-important AvaDent digital record which allows the Clinician to offer patients a degree of convenience and security never before possible. If an AvaDent is broken or lost, an identical AvaDent can be fabricated with no additional record-taking appointment.
The AvaDent digital record also allows the Clinician, for the first time, to create a removable “treatment plan” that offers patients the promise of uncompromised quality and ongoing oral care, while increasing patient retention.
That treatment plan can start by offering patients an AvaDent with exceptional fit and esthetics, to an implant retained AvaDent for greater function and stability, to a host of future products and services made possible only because the AvaDent digital record is able to transform a non-repeatable, removable procedure into a consistent, economical, convenient, repeatable and predictable process.
